You would think that the new owner, which plans to build a Guitar Hotel on the property where the Mirage Volcano currently sits, would want a show using the music of the most popular rock band of all time, but no long-term deal has been signed. The show, which currently plays at the Mirage, is in limbo because Hard Rock International purchased the property from past owner MGM Resorts International. That was a very quiet end for a show that had been produced at multiple Strip properties including more than one Caesars Entertainment CZR resort casino. ![]() The Las Vegas Strip also saw the end of the longest-running show in Strip history, "Legends In Concert," which lost its spot at Tropicana and could not find a new location. A number of big-name production shows including one from "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and a big-budget musical based on Meat Loaf's classic "Bat Out of Hell" album, died quick expensive deaths. It has been a difficult time for Las Vegas Strip shows. ![]()
